Introducing Nerdwerk
Why Nerdwerk exists — good products, the teams that ship them, and a stack you actually own.
The Next Step of a Journey
I had the idea for Nerdwerk actually 15 years ago. As I was finishing University, I knew that one day I wanted to build a company. A company of technical excellence, clear values, ownership and fun. I knew way to little back then to really do that, but I went on to build my first company as a freelancer. I knew one day I would be ready for Nerdwerk. This is now.
Why this exists
I’ve worked with a lot of amazing product software companies. Many global in ambition and vision. I’ve also seen you can buil truly great companies and teams in a remote environment. Nerdwerk is here to help fill that gap for companies that struggle in these areas or need some extra help.
But here’s the thing: Most of the software problems I’ve been paid to solve were not real software problems. The code was fine. The real problem was a lack of communication, alignment and ownership. Theteams couldn’t tell you who owned it, the roadmap was a list of promises driven by people outside the company, and the internal tooling needed to make all this happen was nobody’s job.
Nerdwerk is the company for that gap: building good products, and helping companies building the teams and tooling that make good products repeatable rather than accidental.
Good products don’t ship themselves
Good products don’t happen by accident and are suddenly there. You won’t vibe-code them into existence without a clear vision and plan. And once a product lands, it will need maintenance and updates. This is when the true work actually begins. If your tooling is not helping you, it’ll block the continued success of your work. Understanding this is key! Your CI pipeline runs for 24 hours? Innovation is not your problem. Actually shipping software is.
That’s where Nerdwerk comes in. We help companies to uncover their blind spots, improve and optimize their tooling, streamline and simplify workflows and help you to actually focus on the original mission. Building the best product you can!
The Nerdwerk mission
There’s two things that drive Nerdwerks evolution and goal.
Developer tooling. Understand that good developert tooling is not only your own way to success. But it’s also how your users will succeed. Bringing these mindsets into everything we do, in an more and more AI enabled world will pays the longterm dividends any product team needs.
European sovereignty. Not as a slogan — as an engineering property. Knowing where your data lives, which dependencies you could actually remove, and what happens the morning a vendor changes its terms. Most teams discover the answer during an incident. It’s cheaper to know beforehand. We vet european products and dependencies, and we’ll find the right path forward.
